IMD forecasts dense to very dense fog conditions in Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red colour warning for dense to very dense fog conditions in Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab today. Cold wave conditions are expected over parts of Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Punjab.

Dense fog condition is likely to prevail over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim till Saturday. The IMD said Uttarakhand is expected to witness a cold day today. The Met Department also forecast thunderstorms and lightning today in places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.

Minimum temperature over Northwest India is likely to witness no significant change during the next 3 days. The weather agency said that the minimum temperature in Gujarat and Maharashtra is expected to witness a gradual rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius during the next 2 days.
