IAF bombings spark off celebrations across India

The news of the Indian Air Force (IAF) bombing terrorist camps in Pakistan spread like wildfire. It set off a mood of jubilation across the length and breadth of India.

In Ayodhya district of Uttar Pradesh, and Gaya of Bihar, residents lit “diyas” (oil lamps) in honour of the daring IAF fighter pilots, and shouted “Bharat Mata Ki Jai!”

The students of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) too soaked in the celebratory mood, distributing sweets and throwing gulal on each other.

Moradabad in UP witnessed people celebrating the IAF soldiers by lighting firecrackers and performing jigs while others beat drums.

Agartala, the capital of Tripura, too witnessed celebrations such as lighting firecrackers.

People shouted slogans congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the IAF pilots that carried out this daring mission.
