Union Home Minister Amit Shah hailed the success of the visionary scheme PM Fasal Bima Yojana which was initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi five years ago. He said, the scheme has been able to ensure income of the farmers by giving them crop-insurance cover even after the harvest.
Mr. Shah emphatically asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Centre is committed to making farming easy as well as profitable for the farmers in the country. He added that nearly 70 lakh farmers benefitted from the PM Fasal Bima Yojana even during the lockdown period in the country and payment to the tune of eight thousand 741 crore rupees was made to them under the scheme.
