Hindu, Muslims join hands to clean streets after Bahuda yatra in Odisha

Baripada (Odisha), Jul 30 : Amid beating of gongs, cymbals, blowing of conch shells and ‘hari bol’ chants, Bahuda Yatra or the ‘Return car festival’ of Lord Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra, concluded in the Baripada city of Odisha. The warm-hearted and jubilant residents of the region who had just winded up with the celebrations of the chariot festival, refused to take a break as they geared up to take part in the festival of cleanliness. Armed with broomsticks, the people, irrespective of their religion, caste and creed, got together to clean up the Bada Danda street, the main street leading to the Lord Jagannath temple.
