Hey man, why gallop after pernicious success, forget compassion and respect for nature

By @AmruthavalliGV

Man is considered to be one of the most evolved species on earth and believes that he has succeeded even the ‘space, time, continuum’.  Ironically such definition and recognition to man is being given to man only by man and not by any other species of life.  Man has not only developed capability to explore other planets but also developed technology to visit other planets.  Man developed technology to stop the running river, voyaged over sea, remote sensing wisdom he has developed to understand the movements of various planets, weather change predictions and the possibility of bigger natural calamities like Tsunami etc., in advance.   All most every organ in human body, today the medical science can transplant like how different components in an engine is replaced and all such developments in spontaneity or in cumulative manner would make even an alien say ‘wow’.

But the real question is what is the ‘success’ man has achieved so far and wants to achieve in near future otherwise why man lives in tyranny, sorrow, fear and uncertainty despite all the success he has achieved so far.  Alongside of all his developments, millions of his brethren creep, crawl and fight in the gutter along with several 5 sensed animals for food, live on payments without any proper clothing.

The sufferings of his brothers and sisters who live in dismay, despondency and penury the success of man could not wipe out.

Despite all such developments, why man could not deal novel coronavirus where all the leader countries have put their heads together inside the same basket called ‘vaccine research’.

The fundamental question is, has man ever cared to verify his definition of success or development from ‘utopian’ manner than from utilitarian manner?

Whenever the development and success is defined from consummation angle, such developments will have only the core base of customer-product dialogue and such developments and successes of man will not lead the success of entire humanity or wipe the tears of millions of mutiny.   The development and success of man has come at the huge cost of nature.  Man has destroyed and his spree of destruction goes unabated even today and how man is going to leave the world to the nearest posterity is quite scary.

If we look at the life and success of all other species that live on earth, none have destroyed their habitat like man.  Further all of them have learned to live with the habitat and always a contributor equal to or more than what they receive from nature.  But man is the one, who destroy everything around him to mark his success with no empathy or sympathy for other life.

The ancient Yogis and Saints of Hinduism have always promoted only the definition and essence of success in total where man must find his eternal happiness and graceful life and at the same time, he must also change the discourse and dialogue of the world around him, positively.  Exploitation, destruction, endless utilization etc., were never promoted in ancient Hindu philosophy.  It is all about managing the self by taming the desire and need is the cardinal theme of sacred Hinduism.

We should understand the larger truth that the nature is everything and man cannot either win over nature nor can control it.  More the destruction he causes to the nature, more shall be his compensation back to the nature which he cannot escape despite having achieved so much of success in science and technology.

Man must recollect and recite the great sloka in Bhagad Geeta that “You came empty handed, and you will leave the world also empty handed”. Therefore what we take to our grave is nothing but what we leave behind to our successor is the destruction and danger through our senseless act for our success and development.

We must realize the truth that we are ‘just the tenant’ and therefore we must preserve the nature and leave the same to the posterity without any destruction.  Conservation and judicious utilization and not senseless utilitarianism and contractarianism we should promote and practice.   Every life has equal worth as our life and every inanimate object also has a purpose and meaning and hence they cannot be destroyed.

Purity, Patience and Perseverance are the three essential tenets we should follow to achieve our success and above all, we must have love for every life around us.
