Seef District, Bahrain – 21 September 2020
The Pride of Bahrain, Hamza Kooheji, returns to action this Thursday, September 24th, at BRAVE CF 42, when he takes on Aidan James in a Bantamweight bout. The KHK MMA fighter is confident about his chances against his Welsh counterpart and believes he will be ready for a shot at the world title, which is currently held by Filipino hero Stephen Loman.
‘’The Sniper’’ Loman is the longest-serving champion in BRAVE CF history, having won the belt back at BRAVE CF 9, in November of 2017, in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He has defended it four times, and has a reign of over 1,000 days in the division.
However, Kooheji has the same number of wins as the champion inside the BRAVE CF cage, and in case he gets past Aidan James, that number will rise to seven, and Hamza will join Ikram Aliskerov and Jarrah Al-Selawe as the biggest winners in BRAVE CF history.
‘’I’m ready for the title shot, I’ve been ready for a long time. Aidan is a good, technical fighter, and a very good striker, and has solid ground game. He’s a good fight for me, tough fight. But I’m ready and I know a shot at the BRAVE CF title is only a matter of time’’, said The Pride of Bahrain during BRAVE CF 42 Media Day.
A pioneer of MMA in the Kingdom, Hamza has developed into one of the best wrestlers at BRAVE CF under the tutelage of current BRAVE CF Super Lightweight champion Eldar Eldarov. Through the work done by His Highness Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa at KHK MMA, he has been able to have access to a few of the best trainers and coaches on the planet, which has elevated his game tremendously on all facets of mixed martial arts. At BRAVE CF 42, he will put all that hard work to the test, with a looming title shot as a possible reward.
