In Gujarat, the State Government has decided to reopen schools and colleges for physical education from 23rd of November.
This decision has been taken in a State Cabinet Meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani at Gandhinagar today.
AIR correspondent reports that the guidelines have been finalized by the government in this regard.
State Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said that guidelines have been finalized after intense delebrations with all stakeholders.
Schools for Class 9 to 12 and colleges for medical, paramedical, engineering and other final year students will be allowed to reopen in the first phase.
Schools and college buildings should be cleaned and sanitized.
Before the reopening, thermal screening, sanitizers and facility for hand wash should be available at all schools and colleges.
Six feet distance and face mask will be compulsory in the classroom.
Schools have to follow the odd-even formula for Class 9 to 12 on a three days a week basis.
Consent of parents will be compulsory for all students.
Online education system will continue for all students.
Students will be encouraged to use personal transport and avoid public transport.
