Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has allocated portfolios to the new members of his Council of Ministers. According to official sources, the portfolios of General Administration, Home and Police Housing, Urban Development, Industries, Mining, Narmada, Ports and Information and Public Relations have been kept by the Chief Minister himself. Revenue, Disaster Management, Law and Judiciary and Legislative Affairs have been given to Rajendra Trivedi. Education has been given to Jitendra Vaghani. Mr Hrishikesh Patel will look after Health, Family Welfare, Medical Education and Water Supply, while Purnesh Modi will look after Road and Building, Transport and Tourism. The Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Ministry will be looked after by Raghavji Patel, while Kanubhai Desai will look after Finance, Energy and Petrochemicals. Forest and Environment Departments have been allotted to Kiritsinh Rana. Mr Naresh Patel has been handed over Tribal Development and Food and Civil Supply. Mr Pradipsinh Parmar will be the new Social Justice and Empowerment Minister. Mr Arjunsinh Chauhan will look after the Rural Development Ministry. Five Ministers of State have been given independent charge.
