The officers of Central Goods and Services Tax Commissionerate, Delhi have arrested a person for input tax credit fraud of over 50 crore rupees. The amount quantified is expected to increase as the investigation progresses. As per Ministry of Finance, since the inception of GST Central Tax, Delhi Zone has made 27 arrests in various cases involving GST evasion of more than 4 thousand crore rupees.
