Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today said that the government has reached out to the victims of natural calamities and soon the aid distribution will start directly into the farmers account.
He was speaking at a press conference on the eve of the monsoon session of the Maharashtra Legislature in Mumbai.
CM Shinde informed that the state government decided to provide Rs 27,000 per hectare for horticulture and Rs 36,000 per hectare for perennial crops.
He pointed out that it is fortunate that there is no drought in any taluka in the state. Mr. Shinde asserted that his government would review the hasty decision taken by the erstwhile MVA government and uphold the decision in the interest of the people.
Speaking on the occassion, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis assured that the state government will fulfill all the expectations of the opposition parties. He also said since their government came to power, people are seeing the difference.
