Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa met members of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) on the sidelines of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, as reported by the Bahrain News Agency
The minister gave a lecture on the historical and strategic relations between Bahrain and the United States and the progress in various fields. He noted in this regard the efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Bahrain in promoting security, peace and stability in the region and the world and means of expanding these efforts in order to achieve sustainable peace, reviewing the most important developments on the regional and international arenas.
During the lecture, the minister affirmed that the reform approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, has made the Kingdom of Bahrain a leading example of openness, peaceful coexistence and cooperation with all.
The lecture was attended by the U.S. Special Representative for Iran and Senior Policy Advisor to the Secretary of State, Brian Hook, and a number of U.S officials, as well as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States of America Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa and the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations, Ambassador Jamal Fares Al-Ruwaie.
Members of the American Jewish Committee honored the Minister of Foreign Affairs for his pivotal role in highlighting the Kingdom’s foreign policy, which is based on interaction and communication with the countries of the world in order to consolidate peace and stability and promote development and prosperity.
