Date: 26 January 1992
Location: Lal Chowk, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir
Pakistani terrorists had announced that if anyone comes to Lal Chowk, Srinagar and hoists the Indian national flag, then they will not return home alive.
The seperatists also supported this. However, two people from Bharatiya Janata Party accepted the terrorists’ challenge. They started their journey from Kanyakumari and reached Jammu on the morning of 26 January 1992. From there, they took a helicopter to reach Srinagar and in a event that lasted 15 minutes, they hoisted the tricolour and concluded the event by singing the national anthem.
During this time, the terrorists blasted five bombs, but the person hoisting the flag did not move even an inch. After completing the event, he marched to the car, got into it and reached the helicopter to return home.
Did you think that that person will stay silent on the martyrdom of 45 brave soldiers? If you think like that, then you need good treatment.
The two persons were Murli Manohar Joshi and Narendra Modi. The person who hoisted the Indian national flag at Lal Chowk in Srinagar, sung the national anthem and marched to his car was none other than Narendra Modi, the present Prime Minister of India.
Have patience. Narendra Modi has more fire than us in his heart.
