Pertaining to the recent spike in the COVID-19 cases, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday announced a week-long complete lockdown in the national capital which began at 10 PM on April 19 and will remain in place till 5 AM on April 26.
Orders have been issued on the restriction of movement, gatherings, and opening of public places etc.
Here is All that will be open and what is restricted in Delhi:
All essential services such as groceries, dairies, shops selling fruits and vegetables, bakeries, and confectionaries will remain open.
Banks, insurance offices, ATMs, Telecommunications, internet services, cable services, and IT-enabled services will function as per their usual timings.
Offices of GNCT of Delhi Autonomous Bodies/Corporations will remain closed except those involved in essential and emergency services such as Health and Family Welfare.
Home delivery and takeaway of food by restaurants will be allowed.
Petrol pumps, LPG, CNG, petroleum and gas retail and storage outlets shall remain open in addition to Cold Storage and Warehousing Services.
All private offices are directed to implement work from home wherein only government offices will remain open.
Movement of persons for funeral related gatherings shall take place with no more than 20 persons in the gathering.
During the curfew, movement of persons for marriage related gatherings is allowed with up to 50 persons (on the production of soft or hard copies of marriage cards).
Religious places are permitted to open, but visitors are not to be allowed.
Private offices, shops, shopping centres, malls, weekly markets, educational and coaching institutes, cinema and theatres, restaurant and bars, public parks and gardens, beauty parlours, swimming pools will strictly remain closed till 30 April.
Who all are exempted from the restriction of movement during the complete COVID-19 lockdown of Delhi?
Private medical personnel, Pregnant women/patients going for medical aid along with an attendant, Those going for testing/vaccination, are exempted on the production of valid ID/doctor’s prescription/medical papers.
Persons coming from or going to Airports or Railway stations/ISBTs are allowed to travel on the production of valid tickets.
Moreover, Officers/officials of the Government of India, its autonomous/subordinate offices and PSUs will be allowed mobility on the production of valid I card and as per the restrictions imposed by the Government of India.
On the same account, Media Persons will be exempted from any travel ban on the production of valid ID cards.
There is no restriction on inter-state and intra-state movement or transportation of essential goods and no separate permission, e-pass is required for such movements.
