Deep Depression Over Southwest Bay Of Bengal Moved North-Northwestward And Intensified Into A Cyclonic Storm Fengal: IMD

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal moved north-northwestward and intensified into a cyclonic storm Fengal. The IMD added that it is likely to move west-northwestward and cross the northern Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coasts tomorrow afternoon. The weather agency has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over northern Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, south Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam tomorrow. The IMD has also predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places over Kerala, Mahe, South Interior Karnataka, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands tomorrow. The Met Department has also forecast dense fog conditions during the late night and early morning hours in Uttar Pradesh till Monday. Further, the IMD said that smog and shallow to moderate fog are expected in the morning and night hours over the next two days in Delhi-NCR.
