After a volatile day on Tuesday following Urjit Patel’s resignation and state election results, the Indian benchmark indices were trading on a positive note in this morning session with the Nifty50 up 68 points, trading at 10,617 while the Sensex was up 179 points and is trading at 35,329.
Nifty Realty is the outperforming sector, up over 2 percent led by stocks like Indiabulls Real Estate which spiked over 5 percent followed by Godrej Properties, Prestige Estates, Sobha, Brigade Enterprises, DLF and Oberoi Realty.
From the banking space, the top gainers included YES Bank which spiked 3 percent followed by Kotak Mahindra Bank, PNB, State Bank of India, Axis Bank, Bank of India, Central Bank of India, OBC and
Union Bank of India.
Metal stocks were also shining led by Hindustan Copper, Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, NMDC, NALCO and Jindal Steel & Power.
Selective auto stocks were also buzzing with gains from Ashok Leyland, Bajaj Auto, Eicher Motors, Hero MotoCorp, Mahindra & Mahindra and Maruti Suzuki among others.
From the BSE midcap space, the top gainers included AB Fashion followed by Central Bank of India and Bank of India while the top losers were Kansai Nerolac, Max Financial Services and United Breweries.
The top BSE smallcap gainers were Kirloskar Ferrous Industries which zoomed 12 percent followed by Fineotex Chemical and TVS Electric while the top losers were 8K Miles Software and Rolta India.
The top gainer from NSE include Indiabulls Housing Finance, YES Bank, Hero Moto, Bharti Airtel and M&M while the top losers included HPCL, Dr Reddy’s Labs and Titan Company.
The most active stocks were Reliance Industries, YES Bank, Indiabulls Housing, Sun Pharma and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
Aavas Financiers, Sakuma Exports and Tube Investments of India have hit new 52-week high on NSE in this morning session.
25 stocks have hit new 52-week low including names like ABG Shipyard, IL&FS Transportation Networks, Punj Lloyd and Rolta India among others.
