Cyclonic circulation to cause rains over J-K, Himachal: IMD

Cyclone ‘Bulbul’ to make landfall between West Bengal and Bangladesh coasts

Due to the western disturbance after a cyclonic circulation lies over Iran and nearby regions, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh are likely to receive rainfall, predicted India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday.

Jammu and Kashmir is likely to receive downpour on Thursday and Friday while Himachal Pradesh may be battered by the rains on Friday only.

Apart from these two states, scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls is very likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal today and tomorrow.

The thunderstorm accompanied by lightning at isolated places over parts of the Southern Peninsula during the next two days.

In Delhi, the sky will mainly be clear today with the minimum and maximum temperatures hovering around 12 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius.

In Mumbai, the sky will mainly be clear with the temperature hovering around 21 degrees Celsius and 35 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity in the region is 60 per cent.
