Customs, NIA in TVM; Sivasankar likely to be questioned

Thiruvananthapuram: Former IT Secretary M Sivasankar is likely to be questioned on Monday in connection with the diplomatic baggage gold smuggling case. A team of Customs and NIA have arrived in the district.

Though there were reports that his statements would be recorded yesterday, it didn’t happen.

Customs had inspected Sivasankar’s apartment near Secretariat the other day. According to reports, crucial information have been obtained to connect Sivasankar to the smuggling case.

NIA had inspected key accused Sarith’s house yesterday. It is assumed that they will be raiding Sivasankar’s office in Secretariat soon.
