A total of over 23 lakh 55 thousand people have been administered COVID-19 vaccines in the country so far. Nearly three lakh 25 thousand people were vaccinated during the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the country’s COVID-19 recovery rate reached 96.94 per cent with the total recovery of more than 14 thousand patients in the last 24 hours. The Health Ministry said that more than one crore three lakh 73 thousand patients have already recovered from this disease. The number of COVID-19 active cases is on a continuously declining trajectory in the country.
Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said that the Government, society and other organisations have worked united to turn Covid crisis into an opportunity.
Speaking at a Nutrition and Covid Awareness Camp in New Delhi, Mr Naqvi said that development of two Made in India Corona vaccines within a year of the start of the pandemic, is a crystal clear manifestation of hard work of our scientists. He said that India has not only taken care of the health and well-being of its people during the Corona crisis but also helped other countries by sending vaccines.
Government today said that more than 28 lakh beneficiaries have received the vaccination under the countrywide COVID19 vaccination exercise. The Union Health Ministry said, in the last 24 hours, nearly five lakh people were vaccinated across 9994 sessions. Karnataka stands at top position with over two lakh 84 thousand jabs followed by Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra.
13 states and UTs have each vaccinated more than 1 lakh beneficiaries.
