Chhattisgarh: Security Forces kill 3 Maoists in Sukma district: Gunfight on

In Chhattisgarh, an encounter broke out between security forces and Maoists in Sukma district today. Our correspondent reports the gunfight started in a forest along the border of Sukma and Bijapur districts when a joint team of security personnel was out on an anti-Naxalite operation. As per sources, three Maoists have been killed in an encounter. Personnel belonging to the District Reserve Guard, Special Task Force and CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action- an elite unit of CRPF) are involved in the operation. The gunfight was still on when reports last came in.
