The BRICS Parliamentary Forum will be held in virtual format this evening.
It will be chaired by Chairman of Russian Parliament, Vyachaslav Volodin.
Speakers and members of five BRICS Parliaments – Brazil, Russian, India, China and South Africa will participate in the Forum.
An Indian Parliamentary Delegation led by Lok Sabha Speaker, Om Birla and consisting of Member of Lok Sabha Kanimozhi Karunanidhi will attend the Forum.
The theme of the Forum is BRICS partnership in the interest of global stability, general safety and innovative growth: Parliamentary dimension.
In the backdrop of the COVID-19, the Forum will also have discussions on a wide range of cross-cutting issues.
