BJP Spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia Questions Rahul Gandhi’s Silence Over Farmers’ Suicides In Karnataka

BJP National Spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia has questioned Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi regarding his silence on reports claiming that 1,200 farmers have committed suicide in Karnataka over the past 15 months. Addressing the media in New Delhi on Saturday, Mr. Bhatia asked whether Rahul Gandhi had expressed any concern about the deaths of these farmers. He highlighted that the central government, through the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, has deposited 3.25 lakh crore rupees in the bank accounts of farmers. Mr. Bhatia also alleged that the Congress government in Karnataka has only fulfilled two out of 59 promises made in their manifesto. He also accused the previous UPA government of a scam for promising a loan waiver of 50,000 crore rupees.
