The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national leadership has appointed sitting MLA Abhishek Debroy as the new President of the BJP Tripura Pradesh unit with immediate effect. Debroy succeeds Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, who served as the state party president from 2022 to 2026. According to an official notification issued on May 28, 2026, by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh, the appointment was finalized by BJP National President Nitin Nabin.
Congratulating the newly appointed chief, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha expressed confidence that under Debroy’s dynamic leadership and organisational vision.
