BJP National President J. P. Nadda today launched the party’s crowd sourcing campaign for ‘Lokkho Sonar Bangla’ manifesto in Kolkata. He said that the party will seek suggestions from over two crore people in West Bengal for its election manifesto ahead of the Assembly polls. Through this campaign, which will run from 3rd to 20th of March, the BJP will directly engage with the citizens of West Bengal in crafting a vision for the state for the next five years by inviting them to give their suggestions.
Mr Nadda said that about 30 thousand suggestion boxes will be placed across the state to reach out to citizens. Specially designed LED tableaux will also be used in each constituency for digitally recording people’s suggestions and aspirations. He said that people can also respond through missed calls and record their suggestions on Whatsapp or website.
Mr Nadda also promised to bring about ‘Poriborton’ once the BJP comes into power in West Bengal. He said that the pride of West Bengal needs to be revived.
The BJP President reached Kolkata last night to attend a series of programmes. After flagging off the tableaux this morning, Mr Nadda headed towards Rishi Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay’s residence and museum at Naihati in North 24 Parganas. He is scheduled to have lunch at a jute mill worker’s household in Gouripur and address a public meeting at Anandapuri, Barrackpore. Later in the evening, the BJP Chief is scheduled to attend Lokkho Sonar Bangla intellectuals meeting in Science City.
