Bengaluru Test: Sri Lanka 86/6 at stumps, trail India by 166 runs on Day 1

Sri Lanka were 86 for six in their first innings at the end of first day’s play in reply to India’s 252 all out in the second test at Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday.
For the hosts, Shreyas Iyer top-scored with 92 while Wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant contributed 39. For visitors, Lasith Embuldeniya and Praveen Jayawickrama bagged three wickets each.
Earlier, the hosts won the toss and elected to bat.
The day-night Test is being played with the pink ball and a full capacity crowd. India will be strong favourites to stay unbeaten in pink-ball Tests at home and the hosts thrashed Sri Lanka in Mohali to lead the two-match series 1-0.
