Balakot Air Strike Anniversary – How ‘Operation Bandar’ Succeeded

Who can forget the Balakot air strike of 26 February 2019. When the Indian Air Force entered the enemy’s house and destroyed the terrorist bases. By air strikes at the camps of Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists present in Balakot, Pakistan, New India had proved that it will not leave the ‘molester’. But do you know why Balakot’s camp was chosen only, let us know…

Attack in Pulwama

On 14 February 2019, a convoy of 78 CRPF vehicles was going from Jammu to Srinagar with about two and a half thousand jawans. The convoy was passing through National Highway 44 near Avantipora. In the afternoon near Pulwama, a carriage loaded with explosives rammed into the convoy and caused a severe explosion. In a moment, a pile of dead bodies and blood spread all around. 40 soldiers were killed in this blast.

This was the biggest attack on the jawans in Kashmir in three decades. The country was filled with anger due to the demise of Gamzada and Jaish and its masters in Pakistan. It was clear in front of the political leadership that it has been necessary to teach a lesson to Pakistan which has been showing the promise of its nuclear power for decades. Now the motive was clear, India’s answer should be in the same proportion.

Jem’s camp chosen as the right target

Now the question was where to attack. Intelligence agencies combed about 15 locations in Pakistan where there were reports of militants’ camps. Since the Jaish-e-Mohammed was involved in the Pulwama attack, it was decided that his camp should be targeted. It was also thought that the common people should not be harmed in this attack. Similarly, Jaish’s camp in Balakot was chosen as the right target and after that preparations for Operation Bandar began.

That camp has been under watch of Indian intelligence agencies for years. Several hundred terrorists were present during the attack on that camp of Jaish. Indian intelligence agencies were aware of this. When this information was given to the Air Force and the target was told, everyone also expressed happiness.

Every little information given to the Air Force

The Air Force was given a number of fine details along with high resolution satellite photographs of Jaish’s camp in Balakot, which proved to be crucial for the pilots during the attack. In Balakot, the strike time was chosen around 3 am, because people were sleeping deeply.

The strike required a dozen Mirage-2000 aircraft, including Israeli-made Spice bombs, that could strike targets accurately with guided systems. In addition, two reconnaissance aircraft, the Israeli Falcon Airborne and Control System and Netra, were also performing their roles.

‘Operation Bandar’ succeeds

On 26 February 2019, the Mirage-2000 fleet flew down to Balakot. By the time they appeared on the Pakistani radar, the Mirage aircraft had identified the camp target and fired Spice bombs. The Indian jets took just four minutes and returned after completing ‘Operation Bandar’.

After this air strike, the changed strategy of India against terrorism was revealed to the whole world that if any terrorist attacks a terrorist against India in any part of the country, then India will have the power to destroy it in any part of the world. is.
