Union Health Minister, JP Nadda today said that the health department under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi leadership is focussing on curative, preventing and palliative medical facilities providing holistic services in the country.
Addressing a function at Patna on the occasion of inauguration of Regional Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO) at IGIMS Mr. Nadda said we have launched world’s biggest universal health program Ayushman Bharat which is catering more than 12.75 crore families and 44 percent population across the country getting treatment facilities upto five lakh rupees. He said earlier six AIIMS were in the country but due to endeavour of Modi government the number has reached to 22.
Earlier, Mr. Nadda reached Patna today on a two day visit to Bihar. He also held a meeting with JD(U) national president and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at CM House in Patna.Later in the day the Union Health Minister will visit Gaya and Bhagalpur where he will inaugurate super speciality blocks in the premises of JLNMCH, Bhagalpur and ANMCH, Gaya. Tomorrow he will inaugurate super speciality blocks at Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga. Mr. Nadda will visit the site of Darbhanga AIIMS at Shobhan.
