Asia Cup Hockey: India, Korea Play Out 2-2 Draw in Super 4 Clash

The second Super 4 stage match between India and Korea in the Asia Cup Hockey Championship ended in a 2-2 draw last evening at the Rajgir Sports Complex Stadium in Bihar. India took an early 1-0 lead in the first half, but soon lost momentum and rhythm as the game progressed. Despite earning multiple penalty corners, the Indian team failed to convert them against a resilient Korean defence.

In contrast, Korea made the most of their opportunities, successfully converting both a penalty stroke and a penalty corner to take the lead of 2-1. Trailing until the third quarter, India managed to equalise through a brilliant field goal by Mandeep Singh, levelling the score at 2-2. With the draw, both teams earned one point each.

Meanwhile, in the second match of the Super 4 stage of the Men’s Asia Cup Hockey Championship, the Indian team will face another strong side of the tournament, Malaysia, this evening. The match will be played at the Rajgir International Stadium from 7:30 PM. In another Super 4 encounter today, China will play against Korea this evening. The match between Korea and China will start at 5 pm. In the Super 4 stage, the top two teams will be qualified for the finals, which will be held on 7th September.
