The Indian School’s latest branch, in Boushar,
was officially opened on Friday, making it the 21st Indian school to operate in
the Sultanate of Oman, as reported by the Times of Oman.
The school was inaugurated by Ambassador Munu
Mahawar, India’s representative to the Sultanate, and Dr Said bin Hamed Al
Rubaii, the secretary general of Oman’s Education Council, who was also the
chief guest.
The inauguration took place in the presence of
Dr. Baby Sam Saamuel, the chairman of the Board of Directors of Indian Schools
in the Sultanate.
A statement from the Indian Embassy, regarding
this, said, “Another milestone for Indian Schools in Oman. The ambassador
joined the Secretary General, Education Council, Oman in inaugurating the 21st
Indian School – IS Boushar, in the presence of officials of the Oman Government
and other dignitaries.”
