After butchering innocent commuters at CST on 26/11, if Kasab and his terrorist comrades would have run into a library and start pretending to read a book, instead of hijacking Skoda car, liberals and seculars in India would have proved him and his accomplices innocent. This is exactly how self proclaimed seculars and liberals proved rioter students of Jamia Millia Islamia innocent, just because they took refuge in the library.
On 15 December 2019, Jamia committee had played victim card that the police had lathicharged the students inside the university library, while Delhi Police Crime Branch clarified that rioters had hid inside the library on the day. Nevertheless, liberals and seculars along with Jamia committee pronounced police guilty in chorus.
After crying wolf of police brutality, Jamia Coordination Committee (JMM) tweeted 48-second video of a CCTV footage, that shows police personnel entering the Old Reading Hall and beating up students with batons.
Hours after the JCC tweeted the cropped video to prove police brutality inside the Jamia library on 15 December 2019, the Delhi Police Crime Branch released a video in which rioters—wearing mask and holding stones in their hands—are hurriedly entering into the library to escape the police lathicharge. Some of them also dragged tables and closed the gates.
After two month long fake protest, some disturbing questions are indeed unsettling.
- Which library in the world has the prerequisite to wear mask and to hold stones?
- Why did Jamia Coordination Committee release a cropped video?
- Was Jamia Administration aware of conspiracy of its students?
- Why is Jamia shielding its rioter students?
Muhammad Ali Jinnah—butcher of uncountable innocents on Direct Action Day, on 16 August 1946–had once famously once famously called AMU, “the arsenal of Muslim India”. It was AMU, which gave birth to Muslim League, responsible to divide our nation on basis of religion. Students and educators of AMU played not only supported Muslim League but mobilised the movement to demand Pakistan.
India would be foolhardy if it doesn’t read the writing on the wall of Jamia, which is conspicuously following in the footsteps of AMU, how its students are indulging in anti national activities, and how its administrations are shielding its rioter students. India must take into account how two Kerala students Ladeeda Sakhaloon and Aysha Renna N gave instigating speech only to be hailed by liberal and secular eco system in the country.
Do we expect the establishment to carry out an investigation into the role of Jamia why it protected its rioter students? How much truth needs to be revealed for the people to understand that what went wrong? News channels are still arguing police action, but not questioning riots students of Jamia committed.
