Bahrain Odia Samaj celebrated Rathyatra in coordination with Iskcon Bahrain on 4th and 5th July with great pump and show in Shree Krishna Temple Manama to welcome Lord Jagannatha ( lord of this universe) and his siblings. It is a festival of love,peace, harmony and togetherness which is proved by pulling the rope of the chariot of the lord together.
Founder of Bahrain Odia Sanaj sri Arun Kumar Praharaj said we have been celebrating Rathyatra since last 22 years in Bahrain but this year the enthusiasm of our devotees were at the top as recently during ( April 2019) the Visit of HH Gajapati Maharaja to Bahrain , he truly inspired and motivated the devotees about the Glory of Mahaprabhu Jagannatha as the lord of this univers.
The success of this grand celebration is because of the dedicated efforts of our Executive members namely Mrs Bichitra Moahapatra, Mrs. Lopamudra , Mr. Ramesh Panigrahi, Nrisingha Charan Nayak , Pralabdha Mohanty, Subas Sahoo , Sidharth Sahu, Debasish Rout, Pitambar Behera, Himansu Taladi , Amiya Swain and other members of the Bahrain Odia Society.
This year Odissi team Tridhara from Odisha under Guru Dr Gajendra Panda and team performed Odissi dance in front of the lord during rathyatra with an overwheling devotee attence around 2500 people in Sri Krishna temple in Manama Bahrain.
Holy food was also served to all who attended the celebration.
