The ‘Yoga Mahotsav 2025’ was held at Nashik in Maharashtra this morning to mark 50 days countdown until the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY). The event, organised by the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga under the Ministry of Ayush, featured a mass yoga demonstration of the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) at Gauri Maidan, Ramkund Parisar, Panchavati. Union Ayush Minister Prataprao Jadhav and other dignitaries attended the event.
The United Nations declared June 21 as International Day of Yoga in 2014, following a proposal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Since then, India has led this global celebration, promoting yoga as a path to health, unity, and peace.
