Heatwave conditions likely to continue over many parts of country during next 2 days: IMD

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heat wave conditions at isolated places over Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Vidarbha, Gangetic West Bengal, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for the next two days.

Heat wave to Severe heatwave conditions is also likely at isolated places over Odisha and Kutch region today.

IMD has predicted gradual rise in maximum temperatures by about 2 to 3 degree celsius over East India.

The MeT Department also forecast heavy rainfall and snowfall over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and over Uttarakhand during next two days. Light to moderate rainfall is also likely over Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab and East Uttar Pradesh.
