NITI Ayog Member Dr. Vinod K Paul today said that Artificial Intelligence brings in precision and approach to various clinical conditions in the healthcare sector. He said this during the FICCI’s 18th Annual Healthcare Conference, FICCI HEALTH 2024. The two-day conference starting from today is themed Swasth Bharat, Viksit Bharat.
Speaking about the theme, Dr. Paul said that the health outcomes and services of the country should be at a level with the developed countries. He also said that it is an enabler as a healthy person will be more productive and help in increasing the income levels of the country.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Paul said that a lot of start-ups are engaged with AI and the Government’s support mechanisms will be key to make India a powerhouse in AI technologies. Mr. Paul also said that the country should aim to be the biggest producer of technologies rather than being the biggest consumer.
