Portals Of Gangotri Dham Closes For Winter Season

The portals of Gangotri Dham, one of the four Char Dhams in Uttarakhand, have been closed for the winter on the occasion of Annakoot festival in Uttarkashi district today.

Today, at 12:14 pm during the auspicious Abhijeet Muhurta, the temple doors were ceremoniously closed in the presence of a large gathering of devotees. The temple was decorated with marigold flowers on the occasion. So far this year, over eight lakh pilgrims have visited Gangotri Dham in Uttarkashi district.

Additionally, preparations have begun for closing the portals of Kedarnath Dham in Rudraprayag and Yamunotri Dham in Uttarkashi. The portals of both the Dhams will be closed on Bhai Dooj tomorrow. Meanwhile, a large number of devotees continue to reach for the darshan of Baba Kedar in Rudraprayag district.
