The Women and Child Development Ministry has prepared a Draft National Policy for women empowerment, the Lok Sabha was informed yesterday. The Draft envisions a society in which women attain their full potential and are able to participate as equal partners in all spheres of life.
Giving this information in a written reply, Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Zubin Irani said the Draft address the diverse needs of women through identified priority areas such as health including food security and nutrition, education, governance and decision-making, violence against women and environment and climate change.
