Shivraj Singh Chouhan Plants Saplings At IARI As Part Of ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ Campaign

Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted saplings today at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi as part of the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Campaign. He announced that the ministry plans to establish a Matri Van on about one acre of land. During the event, Chauhan said that over 800 institutions under the Ministry will be participating, with around 4,000 saplings set to be planted.

According to a Ministry statement, the campaign aims to plant around 80 crore saplings across the country by next month and 140 crore saplings by March next year.
