No amount of food grains wasted after 2014: Piyush Goyal

The Consumers Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister Piyush Goyal today said no amount of food grains is being wasted after 2014. Informing this in the Lok Sabha the minister said that over 80 crore people have been received food grains free of cost for many months especially during the COVID -19 Pandemic. Replying to supplementaries, Mr Goyal said the government will not allow any wastage of rice and wheat.

The Minister of state for Consumer Affairs, food and Public Distribution, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti also highlighted that the Government has taken all possible measures to stop wastage of food grains since 2014.
