Railway Board asks IRCTC to resume serving cooked meals to passengers on trains

Railways Board has decided to resume serving cooked food in trains. This service was discontinued due to the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Railway Board has written a letter to the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) to resume the service. Railway Board said, ready to eat meals will also continue to be served to passengers. Recently, the Civil Aviation Ministry has allowed airlines to serve meals on all domestic flights.
