Our focus is that Afghan soil shouldn’t be used for terrorist activities: MEA

India on Thursday said that its immediate focus is to ensure that Afghan soil is not used for terrorist activities against it. Briefing media in New Delhi, Spokesman in Ministry of External Affairs Arindam Bagchi said, India in the meeting in Doha conveyed its concerns over the possible use of the Afghan territory for anti-India activities.

Referring to the meeting between Indian Envoy to Qatar Deepak Mittal and Taliban leader Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai, he said, we received a positive response. On a query on bringing back the remaining Indians from Afghanistan, Mr. Bagchi said, India will be able to revisit the matter once the Kabul airport resumes operation.
