Three unidentified terrorists killed in South Kashmir’s Shopian district

Terrorists Kill Apple Truck Driver In J&K, Fourth Attack In Under 2 Weeks

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, three unidentified terrorists were killed in a gunfight that started late last night in Badigam area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

A Police Spokesman said that during a Cordon and Search Operation in the area, the hiding terrorists fired upon the joint team of Police and Army triggering an encounter. He said that three unidentified terrorists were killed in the encounter and incriminating material including arms and ammunition were recovered from the site.

The Spokesman said that the search operation is going on in the area. Meanwhile, in another encounter that started this morning in Beerwah area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam area, one Policeman of Jammu and Kashmir Police lost his life while another one received serious injuries. According to the Spokesman, Special Police Official, Mohammad Altaf was martyred during the encounter while another Policeman Manzoor Ahmad, received injuries during the ongoing encounter. He said that operation is still going on.
