A foreign delegation of the European Union has reached Kashmir to take stock of the ground reality in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the information, a delegation of foreign diplomats has reached Magam block in Budgam district.
The delegation has also held talks with local people during this period. Let us tell you that this delegation of 20 members is on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. The delegation includes representatives from Europe and African countries.

The delegation, who arrived in Jammu and Kashmir, are in talks with French envoy Emmanuel Lenin and Italian envoy Vincenzo de Luca in the Magam block of Budgam district. Significantly, the visit is taking place less than two weeks after the DDC elections in Jammu and Kashmir and the restoration of 4G mobile internet services by the central government.
In August 2019, Internet services were stopped after the government removed Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. Today, according to the schedule of foreign diplomats, the newly elected members of the DDC will meet with social and political activists, media and civil administration officials and army personnel.
At the same time, officials of the army and security agencies will also inform the delegation about the security situation. Specifically, Pakistan’s efforts to send terrorists to India and the frequent ceasefire violations it is carrying along the Line of Control will also be told.
The delegation will be visiting Jammu tomorrow
According to the information, this delegation will take stock of the Kashmir Valley today, while on Thursday this team will be visiting Jammu. It would be worth mentioning that this will be the third visit of foreign diplomats after the abolition of Article 370 giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir in 2019. Earlier in October 2019 also a delegation went to take stock of the situation there.
The delegation will meet these people in Jammu on the second day
It is being told that the delegation of diplomats will be visiting Jammu on the second day, where they will meet DDC members and heads of some social organizations as well as Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha.
Another diplomatic exercise is being carried out by the government for publicity. Through this, foreign diplomats will be informed about the security situation by senior officials associated with the law and order situation in the Kashmir Valley.
