Chennai: Notwithstanding, passengers boarding by pick-up buses were hindered due to the downpour, which in turn delayed the departure.
Six domestic aircrafts to Thoothukudi, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, Patna, Hubli and Ahmedabad were stalled for 30 minutes. Whereas, three international flights to Sri Lanka, Sharjah and Dubai were an hour behind schedule.
However, flights arriving at Chennai had a timely touchdown.
