Mumbai: A week after an MBA student was drugged and stripped at a flat in Charkop by an aspiring singer and film producer, the survivor’s friend has claimed she too had visited the duo a day earlier and had been offered a drink by them. She suspects her drink too could have been spiked, as she felt dizzy after gulping it down. It was the friend who had referred the survivor to the arrested duo in the first place. On June 2, Charkop Police had arrested Karan Vahi, an upcoming singer and MS Naagar, an aspiring film producer, for allegedly raping the 22-year-old student after spiking her drink.
The woman had gone for an audition to their house in Charkop, where she was offered a drink by the duo. She became unconscious after consuming the drink, only to wake up 18 hours later, naked. A week after the arrests, the friend recorded her statement with the police. A police source said, “The woman’s friend claimed she too was offered a drink after which she started feeling dizzy and called her boyfriend to take her home. She said her drink too could have been spiked and she could have been raped had she not left the flat.”
