Govt announces Rs 436 crore outlay for skilling 4 lakh persons

The Government has announced 436 crore rupees outlay for skilling four lakh professionals in artificial intelligence, blockchain, and cybersecurity areas over the next three years.

The ‘Future Skills PRIME’ programme will seek to position the initiative as India stack for digital talent.

Minister for Electronics and IT Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters in New Delhi yesterday that the programme will increase employability and will add digital value to the talent pool.
