Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin met with rising stars from the two countries in New Delhi on Friday.
Referring to the Russian educational centre Sirius, Modi praised Putin’s “investment in the next generation,” saying that he had “laid the foundation for the future of Russia.”
“I would like Indian children to come to Russia and visit the Russian centres so that Russian and Indian children could think about what we could do to enhance the lives of people,” he said, adding “I think this will be an important contribution we could make to improve the future of our people.”
The annual two-day India-Russia summit closed on Friday. During the event, the leaders discussed the further development of the Russian-Indian strategic partnership in addition to international and regional issues.
