Six lakh 30 thousand installations have been made in India under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy Prahlad Joshi said in Kolkata today. He was chairing a meeting with the representatives of West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Northeastern states to review the implementation of this scheme. The minister said some states are lagging in implementing the scheme, including West Bengal. He said the Surya Ghar Yojana is an important government scheme, and this is a durable program. He said electricity is cheaper under this scheme. He urges all stakeholders to do the necessary things for the implementation of the Yojana.
