Now, Rubel Hossain, Bangladeshi cricketer gave a befitting yet hilarious reply to Naib’s tweet. “Hum to dube hai sanam, tumko lekar dubenge (We are already drowning darling, but we’ll take you with us)” Naib had said at the press conference.
His reply read,”@GbNaib sorry buddy we’re not interested to join you in such a journey.”
Afghanistan lost their seventh match against the Tigers by 62 runs. Shakib Al Hasan was the star of the match with a first five-wicket haul in this World Cup and his career’s second. He scored 51 runs in the match to become the leading run scorer in this World Cup with 476 runs. He also became the first Bangladesh cricketer to score 1,000 runs in World Cups.
Afghanistan will next meet Pakistan on June 29, on the other hand, Bangladesh will face India on July 2.
