The program started with a tribute to the Football legend VP Sathyan being the 15th death Anniversary. He was KESPA member and passed away on 18th July 2006. Shri. Wilson Cherian, Advisor KESPA and Arjuna awardee gave tribute to Sathyan. Abraham Verghese, a National Football player remembered Sathyan whom he remembers that talks about football always.


Shri. V.A. George Patron KESPA informed that KESPA remembered him through V.P Sathayan award; which they conducted a few weeks back. incidentally the KESPA VP Sathyan award recipient Mohd Anas is taking part in the Tokyo Olympics.


Shri. Jose Varghese IRS Retd President of KESPA welcomed the gathering. he thanked all the Olympians who could join the program which is organized to wish good luck to the Indian contingent. He also informed the house that the KESPA has appealed to the Prime Minister of India for giving posthumously Bharat Ratna to Shri late Milkha Singh which was the outcome of the tribute program organized by KESPA recently.



Shri. W.I. Davaram IPS, former DGP Tamilnadu, and Chief Patron KESPA Congratulated the members for having organized many programs during this pandemic. He said KESPA is only the association that remembered the contribution of the Athletic legend late Shri. Milkha Singh.



The Moscow Olympic Gold medal-winning Hockey team captain Shri. V. Bhaskaran congratulated the KESPA members for having organized the program. He stressed that in the Olympics the discipline is of utmost importance in this time of the pandemic.


Shiny Wilson who took part in 4 Olympics remembered how she missed the final birth in the Los Angels Olympics. She also said about her experiences in the other 3 Olympics taken part.


Shri. Charles Cornelius, Bronze medalist in Hockey at Munich Olympics appreciated the TN Govt for declaring prize money of Rs. 5.00 lakhs to the Olympians, who are taking part in this Olympics from Tamilnadu State. He was remembering the olden days when they come with the Olympic medals they never gets any award or prize money.
Shri. Renjith Maheswari who has taken part in 3 Olympics said that he was happy to hear the experiences of his Seniors who spoke before. He said taking part in the Olympics is dream for all sportspersons and God has bless him by giving strength to take part in 3 Olympics.
Olympian Couple Shri, Ramachandran and Smt. Jincy Ramachandran who took part in the Sydney 2000 Olympics shared jointly about their experinece. It was an attraction to see both of them who came in single window and wearing the Indian Colour of Tokyo Olympics
All the Olympians and KESPA members and guests joined together to wish Good luck to the Indian Contingent at the Tokyo Olympics.
It was a treat to hear from all the Olympians sharing their experiences in the Olympics taken part by them.

The program ended with a Vote of thanks from Shri. Benny Mathew, National Basketball player, and Jt Secretary KESPA
