Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said that global disciplines are embracing the Vedanta philosophy which is the country’s ancient wisdom. He said, Vedanta is much beyond a philosophy and it is the algorithm for human consciousness. The Vice-President presided over the inauguration of the 27th International Congress of Vedanta at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi today.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr Dhankhar said, Vedanta is the essence or conclusion of the Vedas, which are the country’s timeless treasures. He said, some in this country, in this land of spirituality, dismiss Vedanta and Sanatani texts as regressive. He said this dismissal often stems from a perverted colonial mindset and an inefficient understanding of the country’s intellectual heritage.
