Uttar Pradesh govt says, no hospital in state can deny treatment of any COVID patient


Uttar Pradesh government has said that no hospital in state whether it is private or government can deny the treatment of any COVID patient. Government also announced that it will bear the treatment expenses of patients admitted to private hospitals as per the rules but patients must get the necessary treatment immediately.
 
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the COVID situation in state and said that there is no dearth of oxygen for COVID patients. He welcomed the central government’s decision to establish new oxygen plants.  On the other hand IFFO company has also announced to establish an oxygen plant in Prayagraj and will provide free oxygen to the patients. The CM directed officials of transport department to increase the number of oxygen tankers and if necessary take the help of Central government also.
 
The Government has also decided to conduct oxygen audit with the help of IIT Kanpur, IIT Varanasi, and IIM Lucknow. IIT Kanpur is going to provide a software for this purpose very soon. Central government has also issued guidelines for judicious use of Oxygen as a therapy to treat COVID-19 patients.
